Abstract
The objective of the research was to analyze the stories of four young indigenous in order to identify the ideals that sustain their social activism. Method used: structural theory of storytelling. The results show three macro-sequences: accounts of childhood and adolescence; joining the group and their current participation. The research focuses on dilemmatic ideals and discusses the aporia of the ideal attributed to their family patterns and to the collective, which have as a circumstance the process of personal and collective development. It is concluded that the narrative about the native is changed from dismissal to pronouncement when the sociocultural conditions make them be conceived as agents of value and action and avoid the perception of them as objects of destiny. It is suggested to reconsider the promotion of native cultures according to the experiences of the subjectivation narrated here.
